Observatory, the creative video specialist which provides award-winning creative visual content innovation for live events, fashion, broadcast, and more, has expanded its senior team with the addition of Simon Harris.

A well-known figure in the visual production world, having previously worked for Bryte Design, Green Hippo, and Avolites, Harris brings extensive technical video project management and production experience to his new role. Working closely with Observatory founder and principal designer Ben Sheppee, he will be responsible for expanding the global footprint of the business.

"Simon brings a unique skill set that will strengthen and drive expansion for the business," says Sheppee. "We have been looking to provide our clients with better technical consultation and end-to-end solutions for our productions, as we continue to innovate with emerging technologies. New and existing clients can look forward to benefiting from Simon's in-depth knowledge and vision of engaging large audiences. We are thrilled to add him to our team to help us grow Observatory's business even further, building on our award-winning conceptual visual offering."

In 14 years in the industry, Harris has worked on shows such as Beyoncé's Glastonbury Headline Performance, George Ezra's 2018 European tour, EDC Las Vegas, Andy C's Alive AllNight and sold-out 2019 Wembley show, Glastonbury's John Peel stage and the T-Mobile Annual Conference in Manilla, among many others.

"I have been both a client and friend to Observatory for many years, so now being part of the team has been a natural progression in my career," says Harris. "I'm excited to now be contributing and furthering the success of such a progressive and creative company."

The Observatory team has over 20 years of experience working on high end events internationally, offering their key services of creative direction, motion graphic production, stage and set design. With a skill set spanning LED stage content, projection mapping, concert visuals, AR, VR and holograms, Observatory has serviced clients such as BBC, Sky, Universal, Estee Lauder, Intel and Adidas as well as acts such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, Rudimental, and 5 Seconds of Summer.
