Grupo Zonico Brings Outline Newton to Venezuela

Grupo Zonico director Hugo Morillo

Grupo Zonico, an event production and entertainment technology company with over 20 years of experience, has been appointed as the official distributor of the Outline Newton audio processor in Venezuela.

Hugo Morillo, director of Grupo Zonico, states: "Newton has been a go-to solution for the most demanding live productions worldwide. Its exceptional audio quality and seamless integration with systems from any brand allow system engineers to overcome complex challenges with greater efficiency and reliability."

In a statement, Outline says, "Unique among today's high-end processors for holding an industrial patent, Newton leverages advanced FPGA architecture alongside Outline's signature WFIR filtering technology. It has become the de facto standard in signal processing, routing, and EQ-ing at the world's most prestigious live events. Its success is driven by a powerful combination of flexibility, reliability, and pristine audio quality -- all housed in a compact 1RU chassis and controlled through an extremely intuitive software interface compatible with both Mac and PC."

Newton, to recap its path, has been deployed at many major events, including multiple editions of Glastonbury and Coachella, as well as world tours by artists such as Roger Waters, Tool, Snow Patrol, Sam Smith, Kenny Chesney, and Joe Bonamassa.

At the latest World Youth Day in Lisbon, the challenge of delivering Pope Francis' message intelligibly to 1.5 million pilgrims over three sq. km. was met with the crucial help of just two Outline Newton processors. Configured to manage delay lines of up to eight seconds -- essential to compensate for the site's vast scale -- the Newton units routed audio signals through 103km of fiber optics, coordinating 1,100 loudspeakers deployed on 109 PA towers, driven by 327 amplifiers and connected via 300 network switches.

Morillo concludes: "With Newton now in Venezuela, we're equipping the local market with the same elite technology that drives landmark productions worldwide. It's a significant leap that positions our industry on par with the global stage."
