Live Events Productions Invests in Elation PARAGON and PROTEUS

PARAGON is Elation's new flagship series of LED profile luminaires, featuring technology like TruTone, which is said to provide designers with the flexibility to achieve the optimal blend of lighting intensity and color accuracy.

Earlier this year, Live Events Productions was one of the first production and rental houses to invest in Elation's PARAGON moving head and has been using the multi-award-winning LED profile luminaire on projects ever since.

"Now that we've had them for a few months, we have found them to be incredibly useful across a wide range of projects. They check a lot of boxes and are versatile enough to be used virtually on any show from corporate events to broadcast to touring," states Ben Coker, VP of technology and assets at Live Events Productions.

Live Events invested in 52 PARAGON M and debuted the fixtures on a nighttime spectacular in March for the grand opening celebration of the National Medal of Honor Museum in Dallas, Texas. "The PARAGON's TruTone variable CRI engine gives us a lot of flexibility, and the IP54 rating means we can use it temporarily outside on shows like the Medal of Honor and don't have to worry about it," Coker says.

PARAGON is Elation's new flagship series of LED profile luminaires, featuring technology like TruTone, which is said to provide designers with the flexibility to achieve the optimal blend of lighting intensity and color accuracy. "It answers the need for a natively high CRI fixture but with LED and without having to use a filter to achieve that," Coker notes. "It also gives the ability in the same fixture to have a higher output and lower CRI and not have to carry two fixtures."

Live Events also expanded its inventory with 52 PROTEUS HYBRID MAX moving head fixtures, which were also showcased for the first time at the National Medal of Honor event.

"These are great hybrid fixtures and, like the PARAGON, can be used on a wide variety of projects. It projects a high-power beam, or gobos, and we can use it as a wash fixture as well, which makes it a flexible fixture for any application. Following the National Medal of Honor event, they went out on a long-term rental that is partially exposed, so their IP rating is very useful."

The PROTEUS HYBRID MAX, an IP66-rated upgrade of Elation's PROTEUS HYBRID, houses new technology that makes it faster, brighter, and tougher than its groundbreaking predecessor, the company says, and utilizes a massive toolbox of visual FX.

Live Events Productions will deploy the PARAGON and PROTEUS fixtures to shows across the nation.
