NEUTRIK Marks Two-Billion Connectors During 50th-Anniversary Celebrations NEUTRIK recently celebrated reaching the creation of the two-billionth connector with a civic reception at Neutrik Group headquarters in Schaan, Liechtenstein. A guest list of 45 included invitees from national and local government and media, as well as from within the company and its partner networks. Welcoming speeches were given by Robert Buchel, Liechtenstein's minister of economic affairs, and Markus Beck, deputy mayor of Schaan. Also present was Manfred Kaufmann, president of the Liechtenstein Parliament. The event featured a celebratory program of presentations that included a retrospective of five decades of the world's leading connector brand, and the presentation of the two-billionth NEUTRIK connector to Georg Wohlwend, delegate of the board of directors for the Neutrik Group. The presentation of the opticalCON HYBRID MED connector -- a milestone in NEUTRIK's history -- had particular significance, given the precision with which devices are assembled in the company's specialist on-site production facility at Schaan. Designed specifically for the healthcare sector, to transmit high-resolution images and video in operating theatres, opticalCON HYBRID MED reduces trip hazards in the surgical room, the company says. Since its inception in 1975, has released many key products, from the XLR and speakON connectors to the revolutionary powerCON power connectivity series, and the advancements inherent in opticalCON fiber optic and etherCON data solutions. Marking its milestone half-century and celebrating the brand's accomplishments and vision for the future, a special limited-edition 50th anniversary product line has been issued. This commences with the release of special anniversary edition male and female XLR connectors and a 1/4" instrument plug. These feature a new conductive zinc-based coating, providing an aesthetic dark grey metallic finish with a laser-engraved NEUTRIK 50 YEARS anniversary commemorative logo. The new coating provides optimal corrosion protection with full electrical isolation, in compliance with the latest RoHS and REACH requirements. The female XLR features a matching plated push button for seamless design integration. Commenting for the Neutrik Group, Wohlwend states: "For 50 years, NEUTRIK has set the standard in connectivity, enabling our customers to achieve incredible feats in audio, video, data, and power applications. As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our commitment to innovation and reliability, ensuring that NEUTRIK remains synonymous with excellence for generations to come."
