Lumax Software LLC introduces Drafty 4.0. With a whole new suite of advanced drawing tools, Drafty positions itself as the CAD tool for the modern theatrical designer.

Designed by a team of working Lighting, Sound, and Video designers, Drafty thinks the way a Designer thinks, the company says, optimizing workflows for the realities of the contemporary theatre. New tools for drafting and cross functionality with other leading CAD programs join the Drafty suite.

New Features include:

*DXF Import, with layer mapping to Drafty's Smart Layering system
*3D Beam calculator for lights with adjustable shutters, showing stage & head high views
*Advanced Group/Ungroup functions
*Scale to points, allows accurate scaling of imported object
*Streamlined user interface providing a faster and more efficient drafting experience
*Expanded lighting, audio, video, and scenic symbols

Drafty is a complete integrated CAD solution for Lighting, Sound, and Video designers for live entertainment. With DXF Import and Beams joining favorite tools like the Lineset Scheduler, Smart Section, Database Manager, and more, Drafty can output a complete Plot, Section, and Hookup package faster and with greater accuracy than ever before, the company says.

"Our users have been asking for increased import/export features and we have delivered with a powerful new DXF parsing engine. But this is just the beginning, we have a more Import/Export engines on queue to be rolled out over the next year, so stay tuned!" says Lucas Krech, co-founder and lead software designer, Lumax Software LLC.

"I giggled with so much glee playing with beams. I am so so happy. Like seriously, I am on the road to not needing [other CAD programs] anymore. Ever. Period," says Andrew Griffin, USA829 Lighting Designer.
