Drew Taylor, sales engineer of Lightware U.S.A., the US distributor of professional AV products manufactured by Lightware Visual Engineering in Budapest, Hungary, will lead two technical sessions at InfoComm 2011. The conference will be held June 11-17 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

"DVI and HDMI Signal Extension: Problems and Solutions," is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15 from 2.30 - 4 pm in room W221 D and is targeted to staging and live event professionals. It will be followed by "Problems and Solutions when Designing Digital Systems: EDID, HDCP, Display Port, Audio" on Thursday, June 16 from 2.30 - 4 pm in room W221 B.

"As leaders in DVI, HDMI, and digital technologies in a wide range of applications, we have acquired the kind of information many people are looking for," notes sales and marketing associate, Blake Dudash. "We're delighted that Drew will be heading a pair of technical sessions addressing problem solving in two areas industry professionals want to know more about."

The first session, "DVI & HDMI Signal Extension: Problems and Solutions," builds on the informative PDF, "DVI and HDMI Basics to Signal Extension Methods," now available as a download on the Lightware U.S.A. website. At the InfoComm 2011 session Taylor will explore topics such as DVI vs. HDMI, advanced EDID management, HDMI 1.3, HDCP, pixel-Accurate re-clocking, dual-link DVI, fiber optic transmission and other emerging digital video standards.

In the second session, "Problems and Solutions when Designing Digital Systems: EDID, HDCP, Display Port, Audio," Taylor will examine Digital Video Representation, TMDS Transmission Errors, EDID, HDMI, 3D, Advanced EDID Management, HDCP, Twisted Pair, Video Matrices, Fiber Optic Transmission and other emerging digital video standards.

Both sessions are free to InfoComm attendees, although pre-registration is required.
