NEXO GEO M10 Delivers Full-Spectrum Sound at Color South Festival

The Color South Festival is a flagship summer event on the French Riviera, not only for its stellar lineup of DJs and EDM performers, but also for regular explosions of colored powder, which bring a special energy to the crowd.

The festival's fifth edition took place August 7 at the historic Arenes de Frejus, a dramatic 12,000-capacity Roman amphitheatre dating back to the first century.

With an artist roster including Adixia, DJ Rox R, DJ Dan, NOMA, Tuslay, Shad Hottaboy, and DJems, festival organizers Doremi enlisted the Frejus-based production company. The latter called on strategic partner ETTEC, event technology specialists from nearby Sollies-Ville, who flew line arrays of ten NEXO GEO M10s under a single MSUB15, with low-frequency extension from 14 NEXO L18 subs stacked in pairs in front of the stage.

"It's amazing what such a compact, 1 x 10" system can achieve," reports ETTEC manager Francois Revest. "Along with NEXO P10 front fills, the GEO M10 provided excellent coverage across the audience and the L18 subs delivered the uncompromising low-end punch that's essential at an EDM event like this one."

NEXO's point-source P+ Series speakers the on-stage monitors, part of a system powered entirely by NEXO NXAMPs.
