Avolites and Avolites Media Showcase Products at Successful ABTT 2012

Avolites Media Ai MSC-1 Control

Avolites and Avolites Media exhibited at this year's ABTT show as visitors came to see the latest addition to the Avolites and Avolites Media product ranges. On show were the Sapphire Touch and Titan Software - Version 6 along with the Ai AiS-T Media Server and MSC-1 control surface.

Selvin Cooper, part of the technical support team for Avolites Media, demonstrated the new MSC-1 control: "The new console offers visual designers an instinctive live show control system that delivers seamless integration of all visual content including video, lighting, and projection from a single console," Cooper states. "The console connects directly to the Ai Media server for super fast access to the Salvation node based configuration engine via a touch screen laptop. MSC-1 provides instant access to effects, layers, and clips and offers ten assignable faders that can be mapped to any server function. The console is generously furnished with a number of direct access buttons for layers, blend mode selection, and transport control."

Also on show was the Ai AiS-T Media Server, which enables smooth playback of multilayer 4k resolution content with up to four full 1080p HD outputs arranged in a timeline timecode sequencer. Users can create and build shows in a 3D Stage Visualizer then use the mapping capabilities for mapping and warping onto any 3D surface. Tightly integrated support for 3D displays, LEDs, moving lights, and other visual elements enable designers to merge video and lighting.

Meanwhile Avolites presented its latest version of the Sapphire Touch, the company's flagship touring desk. Stephen Baird Smith, sales engineer for Avolites discusses: "As ever we've had an excellent response to The Sapphire Touch, which now features the Titan V6 operating system, dual touch-screen monitors and enhanced workflow. Smooth automated playback is via 45 motorized faders and a tri-color optical trackball allows designers easy access to the X, Y, Z axis for simultaneous control."

Another highlight is the Titan V6 Operating System, which supports the Titan-Net distributed DMX, assignable global and individual rate masters, auto-legend for colors, gobos, and video clips. Programmers / designers can now hand-draw information into the Pixel Mapper with Avo Quicksketch plus display imported JPEGs or text. Advanced theatrical features include move in dark, block cues, and this cue only functions while the graphic patch view enables fast, clear, and intuitive analysis of patched fixtures.

"We were delighted to be able to show off so many exciting new products to our friends and customers," says Steve Warren, sales director for Avolites and managing director of Avolites Media. "Avolites has invested substantially in the development of Titan, perfecting the operating system, guided by user requests and feedback. Avolites Media's Ai servers continue to attract plenty of attention, which goes to show how flexible and powerful they are. I'm of course delighted to see both Avolites and Avolites Media thriving and I'm looking forward to seeing the latest developments being used in the field very soon."
