Lasernet Covers Ultra Music Festival with Laser Beams

Ultra Music Festival laser display

On March 27 - 29, 2015, the 17th annual Ultra Music Festival went off without a hitch. And, when the sun went down, the lasers came out and out and out.

LaserNet installed 12 lasers across the Main Stage and 11 lasers for the Carl Cox tent and two lasers at the Live Stage. All 20W RGB, full color lasers, the night time came alive with laser beams for the different artists. Even though not all artists wanted lasers, when they did, LaserNet did their best to fulfill their wishes.

Working with the stage design from Steve Lieberman, of SJ Lighting, Lasernet installed the 11 lasers at Carl Cox to provide a wall of lasers. The wall came alive with the video, lighting, and, Lasernet lasers. LaserNet's Tom Harman said, "it was great to see three operators, lighting, video, and laser, merge as one to put on a killer show for the crowd, I only hope they appreciated and understood what they were seeing!"

The Main Stage was the main attraction with major A-list talent from all over the world. Twelve of LaserNet's best 20W RGB OPSL ScannerPro's were laid out across the stage to compliment and sometimes dominate the lighting, sound, video, and extensive pyro. "It's definitely a group effort to put together a production of this magnitude and ego's had to be sidelined to give the Ultra fans the show they deserved," according to Harman. Each main artist arrived with an entourage of people that tour with the artist, knowing the show, knowing the cues to get the maximum performance for the audience. In fact, for three artists, LaserNet's operator, stepped aside and allowed the guest Laserist to use our lasers. Harman explained, "In an effort of cooperation, when an artist requested their own operator, we allowed it for the good of the show. Each operator brought in their own computer and was able to have direct control of our lasers. At Carl Cox and at the Main Stage, one artist actually added lasers to the show, giving the fans more beams per second."

Ultra Music Festival continues to be America's premiere event and the company says LaserNet continues to set the curve with the laser display.
