Stage|Set|Scenery Partners with Event Organizers' Association

Messe Berlin, home of Stage|Set|Scenery 2019

Be it at a traditional congress or an interactive bar camp -- event organizers are trendsetters and often confronted with the challenge of finding new ways to realize an event. In that sense event technology is very important, not simply in order to shine the spotlight on speakers at a congress and transmit a clear message acoustically. The object is to transform an event into a genuine experience. New technology such as virtual and augmented reality is playing an increasingly important role. Furthermore, the meeting and event industry benefits from a dialogue between theatres, museums, and other cultural institutions. Stage|Set|Scenery, which will be taking place June 18 - 20 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds and for the first time will be partnering with the Association of Event Organizers (VDVO), is the right platform for this dialogue.

Hall 22 will feature a dedicated area for the event industry where among others the VDVO will be represented with a communicative stand concept. At the congress topics will focus on event production as well as cultural real estate such as theatres and concert houses as event venues. "The show offers our members and event organizers huge added value," said Bernd Fritzges, CEO of the VDVO. "Increasingly, cultural venues such as theatres and concert houses are being booked for storytelling and the corresponding event productions. Culture makes it possible to establish a common theme when designing an event. Thus, culture and event production are the two key topics we will be focusing on."

"With the VDVO we are delighted to have secured a further partner from the event industry," said Patricia Pohle, the project manager of Stage|Set|Scenery. "This rounds off our portfolio. Be it a theatre performance or a corporate event -- the skilled trades behind the scenes must work together smoothly and communicate throughout to ensure that an event is an unforgettable experience. Stage|Set|Scenery is the ideal platform for that dialogue."

Also taking part in the international trade show and conference for theatre, film, and event technology will be another event industry association, the Interessengemeinschaft der Städte mit Theatergastspielhäusern (Inthega).
