Chauvet Maverick Series Take W-DMXChauvet Professional introduced its Maverick series at the 2016 Prolight + Sound expo. The new series features three power-packed tour ready moving fixtures: the MK2 Wash, MK1 Hybrid, and MK2 Spot. Professional tour-graded luminaires, these fixtures offer a host of performance features. Among these features is the integration of a Wireless Solution W-DMX receiver card in every Maverick unit fitted as standard out of the factory. "We set out to make a statement with Maverick," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet, "Including W-DMX underscores our commitment to putting our customers first, because of its convenience, reliability, and speed of setup. We have had great success with W-DMX in our fixtures since we launched our original WELL fixtures in 2011. Since then, Wireless Solution has been the exclusive wireless DMX provider for Chauvet Professional." Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution also expressed enthusiasm for the OEM relationship between his company and Chauvet Professional. "We have been working with Chauvet Professional for more than five years, and during that time they have had great products that encouraged customers to use wireless DMX from Wireless Solution." The Maverick luminaires come with a W-DMX 2dBi omni-directional antenna in a small enclosure that pops out, resulting in better connectivity to the transmitter. Working on 2.4GHz, the fixtures are compatible with any W-DMX transmitter. The W-DMX technology includes its propriety adaptive frequency hopping, data-safe and invisi-wire features. In addition to the Maverick series, other Chauvet Professional luminaires that use W-DMX exclusively include the WELL Flex and WELL Fit battery-powered units.
