Rental and Staging Network Helps the Best in the Business Get Even Better

The Rental and Staging Network (RSN), a network of geographically-diverse rental and staging companies with complete event capabilities, held its first-ever Leadership Symposium from August 3-5 at the Westin O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois to provide the latest in the industry's best practices.

Themed "Growing and Managing Your Business Better," the symposium provided professional leadership and business development education to professionals in leadership roles from RSN's 16 member companies. A highlight of the event was a presentation from speaker Bob Prosen, who focused on tips for taking the complexity out of business execution and provided these business leaders with definitive tools for getting extraordinary bottom-line results.

The second day of the program featured a full day of break-out discussion groups for professionals who share similar roles such as principals, sales, operations, and production managers. The event also featured a tour of Stage Right's facility, one of RSN's newest members, which allowed attendees to learn first-hand about a fellow member's logistics and operations.

Christie, Coolux International, Draper Inc., Nationwide, and Roland Systems Group sponsored the event and educated members on their emerging technologies and products.

"We all have the common goal of improving our business and our value to our customers. I know that each and every person came away from the program with something useful, whether it was just gathering powerfully fresh thoughts or the reinforcement of a known best practice," said Donald Guzauckas, Jr., president of RSN.

Since its inception in 2007, RSN has aimed to bring the industry's best live event rental and staging companies together to provide nationwide service with the benefit of local contacts, eliminating the need for clients to spend valuable time verifying the competence and capabilities of multiple companies. Additionally, RSN is a proactive resource for the principals and staff of its non-competitive members for exchanging knowledge, enhancing professionalism and engaging in business referrals and cross-rental opportunities.
