Leadership Restructuring Announced for Auerbach Pollock Fiedlander and Auerbach Glasow

Tom Neville; Steve Friedlander and Len Auerbach; and Patty Glasow

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander and Auerbach Glasow, leaders in performing arts/media facilities design and architectural lighting design, announce organizational changes designed to ensure a dynamic future that will embrace the firm's roots and powerful legacy as industry trailblazers and innovators.

As part of a long-term succession plan, founder and principal owner Len Auerbach has fully transferred his ownership to Steven Friedlander, Patricia Glasow, and Thomas Neville.

"Steve, Patty, and Tom have risen to be the mainstay of the company and I have every confidence in their abilities to both lead the firm and to continue a tradition of design excellence and professional services that are out foundation and reputation," said Auerbach.

With this change, Auerbach's title becomes founder/director of design. He will be focusing most of his time on his design leadership while maintaining his support of the firm's business.

"The shift in Len's responsibilities will allow him more time in the studio for project design and mentorship. The foundation of quality in practice and design that Len has established allows us to continue to innovate and provide the level of service that distinguishes the firm," said Friedlander.

Friedlander continues to lead the theatre consulting group and serve as the firm's president, and Glasow continues to lead the architectural lighting practice and serve as executive vice president. Neville remains as a director and principal in charge of the Minneapolis office while facilitating some of the firm's most technically-complex projects. Together, the firm will continue to follow its path of development, recognizing the wealth of talent within the staff.

"These changes reflect the firm's history of encouraging and supporting professional growth. We are fortunate to have a creative and gifted team and we are looking to advance that talent," said Glasow.

For more than 45 years, the firm has provided a distinctive level of service to its clients and the changes in the ownership structure will support the ability to continue that work.

"From the very beginning, Len created a culture of open collaboration throughout our studio. This teamwork is what makes our work both engaging and provocative, leading to ground-breaking design solutions. This methodology is now part of my design DNA and I'm proud to be taking these processes into the future," said Neville.
