ADJ's NAMM 2013 Offerings Bring More Mobility to Hot Lighting Trends

Visitors to ADJ's booth 5774 at Winter 2013 NAMM, to be held in Anaheim, California, January 24-27, will see many of ADJ's new products being debuted are built around the theme of bringing greater mobility to today's hottest lighting trends. The company says these products make it easier for DJs, working bands, traveling productions, and mobile entertainers to pack the latest in pure lighting excitement into their acts.

Items that will be on display at ADJ's NAMM Booth 5774 include: a battery-powered RGB color wash; a pack-and-go complete LED wash system; and a compact, lightweight RGBW effect that's a more mobile version of the intense, narrow beam effects that are currently popular at large clubs and concert productions.

Mega Go Flood Par -- A battery-powered RGB color wash, the Mega Go Flood Par lets users project a wide splash of color over a wall or stage without worrying about the availability of power outlets. This cordless luminaire runs on its own rechargeable lithium battery and weighs just 3lb./ 1kg. When fully charged, it will run for 4.5 hours at peak performance, then can be recharged and ready to go in 6.5 hours.

The Mega Go Flood Par is 27 x 4.5W tri-color SMD (surface mount diode) LEDs produce high output, brightness, and smooth RGB color mixing, according to the company, equivalent to larger plug-in fixtures. With its 120-degree beam angle and the short throw from its SMD LEDs, it's ideal for wide, close-range wall-washing and for the backlighting of scrim onstage. Offering a broad choice of DMX and manual control options, the Mega Go Flood Par includes 0-100% electronic dimming, LED pulse and strobe effects, fast or slow color change operation, and 35 built-in color macros. This unplugged, go-anywhere Par 38 fixture can also be operated remotely, using ADJ's RFC wireless remote control (sold separately).

Inno Color Beam 12 -- The intense beam effect is coming to DJs, small clubs, and mobile entertainers, with the introduction of the Inno Color Beam 12. This ultra-compact and portable RGBW narrow beam effect shoots out brilliant 15-degree angle shafts of light that will add a high-impact layer of drama and excitement to any venue or event. Utilizing 12 x 3W 50,000-hour CREE LEDs (three each red, green, blue, and white), it offers smooth RGBW color mixing. It can also be used in all-white for a truly stunning effect. The Inno Color Beam 12 features full 540-degree pan and 270-degree tilt, high-quality stepper motors with micro-stepping, 0-100% dimming, LED strobe and pulse effect, and 12 built-in color macros.

Mega TRI38 Sys -- ADJ introduces the Mega TRI38 Sys, an all-in-one LED wash system for mobile entertainers. The Mega TRI38 Sys includes everything needed to set up, run, and transport a professional-looking LED light show: four RGB wash fixtures; one battery-powered wireless foot controller; one tripod light stand; and two protective cases (one for the fixtures and one for the stand). Each of the fixtures is powered by three 3W three-in-one LEDs (red, green, and blue), featuring ADJ's exclusive tri-color technology, which allows for color-mixing to be done within each diode for smooth and shadow-free RGB blending.

Easy to set up and tear-down, the Mega TRI38 Sys not only offers the convenience of a complete turnkey light show package, it's also geared toward mobile entertainers of various lighting skills. Featuring 12 built-in programs, it can be operated in six different manual and DMX modes: static color; manual dimmer color; built-in programs, auto run, sound active, and DMX-512. Its wireless foot controller gives the user command over blackout, sound activation, programs, and color from distances up to 60' / 19m. Other features include 0-100% electronic dimming, LED strobe and pulse effect, 25-degree beam angle, and fast or slow color change operation.

Extremely energy efficient and maintenance-free, the entire system draws a maximum 45W and its long-life LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours. Lightweight and compact for easy portability, the fixture bar, stand, and controller together weigh just 21lb. / 9.5kg.
