Outline at Show-Way 2011

Outline has announced its participation in Show-Way, in Bergamo, Italy, May 15-17. Promoted by APIAS and organized by Ente Fiera Promoberg, it is Italy's leading national expo dedicated to entertainment technology trade members.

For the first time in Italy, it will be possible to see Outline GTO, the large-format line-source system already owned a number of major rental companies in the US and UK.

In spite of the official launch dating back to just last month, on the occasion of Frankfurt's Prolight + Sound, the Brescia-based notes that the system has already been in use since the summer of 2010. As well as Peter Gabriel's New Blood tour, GTO has just been used (on May 9) for a concert by Mike + The Mechanics at London's Royal Albert Hall. In the U.S. acts such as Bon Jovi, BB King, Willie Nelson, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, have used it as well. The company adds that a major soon-to-be-announced US group will be using it for a 100-show tour.

At Show-Way, the 100-sq.-m. Outline stand will host the presentation of the new iSM series of stage monitors (112,115, and 212). In addition to an ultra-slim profile of just 13", the entire series features Outline's award-winning iMode technology. The iSM monitors can be controlled directly by Apple's iPad (the app, entirely written in the Outline labs, will very soon be available from the Apple Store).

At Show-Way, there will also be Outline's new compact EIDOS 265 LA line array from the series of the same name. Ideal for permanent installations, the enclosure is equipped with two 6.5" mid-woofers and a 44mm compression driver, loaded with a waveguide.

At Bergamo, at "Sound Power" which will be held in the venue's square, it will be possible to listen to Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode, a vertical line array whose directivity can be adjusted from 60 to 150 degrees with 16 different combinations of horizontal dispersion -- the only compact VLA on the international scenario to feature this characteristic, the company says. Equipped with four 5" mid-woofers and two 1" compression drivers, it too can be controlled directly by a digital console or iPad (App available very shortly from Apple Store, also written by Outline).

Outline wishes remind that it is easy to obtain free Show-Way entrance badges (valid for the three days of the expo).
