Chameleon Live Invest in their Future with A.C. Entertainment Technologies

(l-r) Sam Parkins and Nick Pendleton of Chameleon Live, Steve Eaton of AC-ET and AJ Mills of Chameleon Live

Chameleon Live, a creative design and production company based in the South East Midlands, have just upgraded their audio equipment thanks to A.C. Entertainment Technologies' (AC-ET) stock of Allen & Heath products.

On the need for a new audio set up Chameleon Lives' project manager AJ Mills says, "We are constantly investing in newer and more powerful equipment to keep us at the forefront of event delivery. The last few years have seen us invest heavily in video, lighting and scenic, including our very own CNC machine. Our audio control systems hadn't been updated for a while and we were having to hire in desks to cope with increased demand. This meant it was time to invest in new sound desks and stage boxes."

With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Chameleon Live turned to AC-ET and their 50 years plus experience and expertise to help them pick the right kit for their ever-evolving needs. On AC-ET continuing to be the right company for the job, Mills explains: "We regularly go to AC-ET when investing in kit. They are a distributor for so many manufacturers, and this isn't just limited to audio! As such, we are a regular customer. When we were looking for new audio control kit, they were the obvious place to start. Given their size and expertise, AC-ET know the lay of the land when it comes to kit availability, and what is coming next."

Steve Eaton, senior audio sales executive at AC-ET listened to Chameleon Live's needs and came up with the best solution for their needs. The Allen & Heath Avantis console, SQ-6 console, GX4816, and DX168 stage boxes are known for their advanced features, reliability, and sound quality, making them well suited for professional event production.

On the new Allen & Heath kit and working with Eaton, Mills says, "Steve looked after us well, his wealth of experience and knowledge of all sorts of audio products really helped."

He pointed us towards the Avantis and the SQ6, as well as the DX168 and GX4816. For their price vs. the DSP offered, nothing else came close. The build quality of the Avantis really impressed me, and the dual touchscreens make it incredibly efficient. I, like many corporate audio engineers, have not spent many hours behind an Avantis, but all our freelancers have come away impressed, I think it's a brilliant desk!"

He adds, "There's very little we can't handle in house now and that's made a huge difference."

On the collaboration Eaton says, "We are delighted to join forces with Chameleon Live, a company that shares our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences for our clients. Our shared appreciation of the Allen & Heath equipment further solidifies our dedication to providing industry-leading audio solutions that exceed expectations."
