The Future of LED: WorldStage Brings Together Many of the World's Top LED Manufacturers

WorldStage's LED tile manufacturers' side-by-side product demo event.

WorldStage recently held a first of its kind event in their Tustin, California, facility hosting many of the world's leading LED tile manufacturers, each demonstrating their most advanced products side by side. This unique format enabled the WorldStage team and a few key clients to test various types and styles of content on each manufacturer's product to determine which performed best under various scenarios and applications.

"We have always been a leader in live event technology and applications," said Gary Standard, founder and CEO of WorldStage. "Innovation is at the core of our culture and the foundation of our success, so a unique event like this is a continuation of our 39 year commitment to being experts in the latest technologies and offering truly distinctive solutions to our clients."

Josh Perlman, WorldStage director of LED services, added, "WorldStage has strong relationships with the top manufacturers from around the globe and it is these relationships that allow us to bring together such an elite group of innovators for a demo like this."

Participating in the event were Aoto, Barco, Christie, CreateLED, DeepSky, DigiLED, Liantronics, ROE Visual, Samsung, and Unilumin. The demo featured the companies' most advanced products, including sub-2mm tiles, new COB products, and coated LED products. WorldStage utilized a Spyder X80 to provide signal to each LED wall at that processors selected bit rate. This also allowed them to open a pip window on top of the content with grey scale so viewers could actually see how each system individually handled color while looking at real content.

Several company representatives commented on how impressed they were by the organization of the event and WorldStage's commitment to not only test each product in depth, but to also offer insightful feedback to help improve their products for live event and architectural applications.

"WorldStage continues to be a leader in bringing the very best technical solutions to the marketplace, working with manufacturers directly to build better systems and pioneering the development of new technologies for the world of live events," concluded Matt Ward, WorldStage chief technologist.
