Philips Selecon Celebrates Newly Launched PLCYC1 LED

Philips Selecon PLCyc1 LED

The Philips Selecon team is celebrating this month following an influx of positive feedback from dealers and end-users in response to the newly launched PLCyc1 LED luminaire.

Recently shown at April's industry trade event PLASA Focus: Leeds, the Philips Selecon PLCyc1 LED delivers a smooth even beam, seamlessly blending intense washes of color on cycloramas up to 5m high. Using LED source technology combined with a properly shaped asymmetrical reflector, the PLCyc1 LED delivers consistent light distribution without the compromising performance of vertical or horizontal spreader lenses.

The PLCyc1 LED builds on the technology of hugely successful PL1 spot and PL3 wash luminaires and uses a mixing chamber designed to homogenize the RGBW colors.

Each luminaire can replace the equivalent of a traditional four color 1000W per circuit cyc luminaire, and with the convenient powercon system, the PLCyc1 LED can light a typical cyclorama with a single 10A non-dim circuit.

"This luminaire is generating extremely encouraging responses from our dealers and end-users," says Grant Bales Smith, sales manager United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and Benelux. "We're hugely excited about the launch of the PLCyc1 LED, and it's technology-rich array of features, including the on-board LCD menu system for setup, control, and addressing, a menu system that is intuitive and offers all configuration options with a few button presses. It also features wireless DMX512 control support for instant connections, without running control wiring plus each optional wireless receiver also has a DMX512 out port to control adjacent luminaires."
