Powersoft Appoints Kurt Metzler as New US Sales Director

Powersoft, a manufacturer of efficient, high-power professional amplifier products, headquartered in Italy, has appointed Kurt Metzler as the company's new US sales director. Metzler, who has more than 27 years of experience in the professional audio industry, will be based out of Powersoft's sales and service support facility in Ventura, California, and assumes his new position effective immediately.

"Last year we passed the milestone of 600 million watts of Powersoft audio power in use worldwide, and some of our partners are beginning to introduce speaker products that incorporate our revolutionary M-Force transduction technology. Kurt's experience and his personal attitude perfectly fit our needs for continuing to support our expansion in the US marketplace."

Metzler's industry experience extends back to 1987 when he opened Sound Advice/Holiday House Westminster, Inc., the first pro audio store in Santa Barbara, California. He joins Powersoft from Loud Technologies, where he has been EAW sales manager - North America since July 2009. He also worked at Loud Technologies from 2003 through 2006 as national sales manager, installed sound. In the interim he was US installation market manager for Meyer Sound for three years.

Metzler has a BS, music composition from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He established Sound Advice after graduation, eventually growing the business to $2.6 million in gross annual sales and 12 employees. After briefly helping to develop the Guitar Center Hollywood store's outside sales program he spent five years at Southern California pro audio sales rep firm Star Enterprises. He then joined Sennheiser Electronic Corporation in 2001, overseeing western regional market development for two years before moving to Loud Technologies.

Steven Temmel, operations and service manager, and Jon Garner, inside sales - logistics - US, will continue to provide US national sales and service support from the Powersoft Audio Technologies Corp. facility in Ventura, California.
