USITT Partners with Church Technical Leaders for Conference & Stage Expo

USITT, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, is partnering with Church Technical Leaders and Church Production Magazine to bring house of worship technical artists to the USITT 2015 Conference & Stage Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 18 - 21.

The partnerships encourage technical staff and volunteers for houses of worship to attend and learn at USITT 2015, with access to Stage Expo and its 280 exhibitors of technical production equipment and services, plus discounts to the USITT Conference, featuring over 200 educational sessions on all aspects of production design and technology.

"More churches are using the latest in lighting, sound, rigging, and scenic elements to enhance their worship experience," said USITT Stage Expo manager Ron Procopio. "Technicians at houses of worship can certainly benefit from interacting with top manufacturers of production equipment, including ETC, Phillips Group, Elation Professional lighting, ZFX and Flying by Foy, Rose Brand, iWeiss and Dazian fabrics, among many others."

USITT 2015 highlights for houses of worship include:

Live Sound International magazine's Loudspeaker Demo, an opportunity for audio technicians to experience several sound systems side by side to see which best fits their facility's needs.
• Light Lab, a chance to experience the latest in LED lighting equipment in action, with hands-on demonstrations and exploration sessions in a main stage venue.
• Sessions on production topics from design to management, including: 3D Visualization in Lighting Console Programming, 'Why Can't I Use Green?' Lighting and Color for Multi-Ethnic Casts, 'So You Want to Fly. Have You Thought About ...?', Demystifying Audio, Microphone Placement for Optimal Benefit, Sound Creation Techniques, Wireless Dimming for Props, Costumes, and Set Pieces, and many more.
