MAC Viper Wash, MAC Viper Wash DX with Internal Framing Now Shipping

Two new Fresnel luminaires in Martin Professional's award-winning MAC Viper Family of moving heads are now shipping.

The MAC Viper Wash and MAC Viper Wash DX with internal framing are full-range wash luminaires capable of performing at the high level you would expect from a professional wash light. Both luminaires feature the same compact form, impressive speed, superior light quality and beautiful colors of the MAC Viper Family and use the same 1,000 W HID source.

The Wash DX version houses a unique internal framing system that enables designers to shape and control light projection onto stages, performers, scenery, scrims, or any set element with great precision. The internal framing system makes it a highly capable, automated substitute for a conventional daylight Fresnel fixture.

At 33,000 lumens of output, both the Viper Wash and Viper Wash DX are brighter than larger and more power-demanding 1,500 W fixtures. They feature an outstanding quality of light with a flat and uniform field.

Both house a CMY color mixing system capable of producing a superior palette of vibrant colors including true reds, rich ambers, primary green, and deep blues with excellent color stability across the entire beam. A linear CTO gives daylight to tungsten CCT control and expansion of the CMY palette.

The MAC Viper Wash and Wash DX house a continuous, fast, and fully linear zoom with a flexible 13.5 to 59° range. The zoom maintains near full efficiency throughout the entire range with no visible beam jump when zooming from tight to wide.

The Fresnel beam can be further manipulated using a combined dimmer/shutter system with intensity effects for instant blackout or smooth fades all the way to blackout. Diverse strobe effects are also possible. Additional effects are possible in the Wash DX version from a fast and tight iris with adjustable dynamic effects.
