Drama Desk Award Winners Announced

The Drama Desk Awards were announced on Sunday, May 17, in a ceremony at The Town Hall in New York City. The Drama Desk Awards were voted on by critics, journalists, and editors for print and online publications covering the New York theatre scene.

The winners in the design categories are:

The award for Outstanding Play went to David Lindsay-Abaire's The Balusters, now running at Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway venue, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, and Mexodus, now running at Off-Broadway's Daryl Roth Theatre.

Multiple award winners include the Lincoln Center Theater revival of Ragtime, with five; the Broadway productions Death of a Salesman and Oedipus, with four each; and Mexodus and the Broadway transfer of Cats: The Jellicle Ball, with three apiece.
