Avid Presents "VENUE Live Sound Plug-ins" Webinar on May 1

Veteran sound engineer and Avid senior market specialist, Robert Scovill will host a free live sound webinar, "VENUE Live Sound Plug-ins," together with special guest Colin McDowell, founder of McDSP. This webinar will offer a hands-on overview of Avid's on-board plug-in architecture, demonstrate how VENUE plug-ins work for live sound mixing, and explore the technical benefits of Avid's AAX plug-in format. Avid live systems run the same industry-standard plug-ins used in Pro Tools to provide live sound engineers with the most tactile, integrated experience and lowest latency of any plug-in system, without the expense and complexity of outboard solutions. By supporting industry-standard Pro Tools plug-ins, Avid live systems enable engineers to choose the best Avid and third-party plug-ins to suit their needs from the largest selection of live sound plug-ins in the world.

Scovill is a sound engineer with more than 3,000 live show mixing credits, including tours with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Rush, Prince, and Def Leppard. He offers an insider's perspective (and veteran's view) of Avid's live sound plug-ins. Scovill will be joined by McDowell, as well as Sheldon Radford, Avid senior principal product manager, live systems and consoles.

The webinar takes place on Thursday, May 1, 2013, at 10am PT/1pm ET.
