Alex Gonzalez Uses DWe Acoustic-Electronic Wireless Kit on Mana TourAlex Gonzalez, drummer of Spanish-language rock band Mana, uses Drum Workshop, Inc.'s DWe Acoustic-Electronic Wireless kit on the current 29 arena date of the Mana Vivir Sin Aire Tour. In 2025, Mana became the first Spanish-language rock band to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Since the band's inception in the 1980s, they have earned four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and multiple other honors. As drummer, Gonzalez is pivotal in crafting the band's rhythmic foundation. His unique drumming style has significantly influenced rock drumming with its energy and precision. Gonzalez has been using his DWe Piano Black Gloss kit combined with the Roland V71 drum module, V-cymbals, and DrumLink WT-10 wireless adaptors on the "B" stage for the more intimate parts of the arena shows, where the band plays on a riser in the middle of the show floor. The DWe kit is vital for keeping stage volume down when the band plays together in close proximity. As Gonzalez explains in this video, his DWe setup includes drum samples of many DW shells, such as the DW Purpleheart expansion pack for the V Series drum modules, plus the Swiss Family cymbal expansion pack. All of which means he can fully personalize his kit. Mana recently played their 43rd arena show in the LA area.
