GoVision Elevates Two to Vice President Posts

Top: Kristy Johnston; bottom: Jeff Williams, GoVision

GoVision founder and CEO Chris Curtis announces that he has promoted two key members of his team to the vice president level.

Jeff Williams, who has been with GoVision for nearly 10 years, has been promoted to vice president of operations. Since joining the company in 2006, Williams has been an integral part of its growth, working up from logistics coordinator to operations coordinator to director of operations. In his new role, Williams will be fully responsible for the most important function in the company: the execution and operation of GoVision solutions at more than 1,000 events each year. Roughly 60 percent of GoVision's employees fall under his direction.

Williams finished his education at the University of Texas-Arlington after a storied baseball career at Wichita State University, which included two trips to the College World Series and a National Championship in 1989. From there, he played minor league baseball from 1990-98, including some time in Triple A.

Kristy Johnston, a nine-year veteran of GoVision, has been promoted to vice president of finance. Starting as a part-time bookkeeper, Johnston rose to accountant and later to director of accounting. She played a pivotal role in each of the company's acquisitions, including the integration of those companies into the organization, as well as GoVision's recent acquisition by, and integration into, Learfield. As vice president, Johnston will shift her focus from day-to-day accounting functions to a greater emphasis on business analysis, which will be critical to GoVision's continued growth.

Johnston is a proud Texas A&M graduate and licensed CPA in the State of Texas. She previously worked for the Texas Comptroller as a sales tax auditor, for a Fortune 500 company as a sales tax manager, and as a manager at a national consulting firm specializing in state tax.

"What Jeff juggles on a daily basis is simply amazing. I am so proud of and thankful for Jeff and all he does for us. Nobody is more deserving of this recognition than him," said Curtis. "Kristy has morphed from her part-time role into one of the most important members of our management team. I'm very proud to recognize her for all the important contributions she has made to the company over the years."

Both promotions are effective immediately.
