ADJ Adds Vizi Wash Z19, Powerful Zooming Wash Fixture, to Definitive Vizi Series of Moving Heads

ADJ's Vizi Wash Z19 moving head luminaire

ADJ announces the expansion of its popular Vizi Series of professional moving head luminaires with the addition of the new Vizi Wash Z19. This powerful and versatile zooming wash fixture is ideal for a wide range of applications including concert stages, theaters, churches, nightclubs, and event production.

Despite its compact size, the Vizi Wash Z19 generates a potent wash thanks to its 380W of LED power. A total of 19 20W Osram quad color four-in-one RGBW LEDs allow for a wide variety of different hues and shades to be mixed, providing lighting designers with lots of creative potential. The LEDs are also positioned behind a precision-engineered lens array which generates a uniform wash and removes color shadows.

The unit's motorized zoom function offers an impressive range between 10- and 60-degrees with 16-bit fine zoom control. This allows the same fixture to be used to generate tight mid-air beams one moment and soft stage washes the next. It also allows this very versatile fixture to be used to highlight specific performers or scenic elements on stage as well to fill a whole nightclub dancefloor with color.

The fixture's 19 LEDs are arranged in concentric circles: one central LED is surrounded by a middle ring of six LEDs which is in turn surrounded by an outer ring of 12 LEDs. Each half of the middle ring (three LEDs) and each quarter of the outer ring (also three LEDs) can be controlled independently, in addition to the single central LED, which gives a total of seven zones. This allows for the creation of impressive "eye-candy" effects, which are made easy to program thanks to the in-built color, effect, fade, and speed macros. In addition, an alternate DMX channel mode features three control zones (one per ring) that offers lighting designers a useful compromise between required channels and programming flexibility.

Smooth 16-bit fine dimming allows for extremely subtle fades in and out, while a range of preset dimming modes as well as user-definable dimming speeds add to the unit's flexibility. It also offers variable speed strobing between 1 and 40Hz as well as an on-board USB port for easy installation of future firmware updates.

Thanks to its compact form, the Vizi Wash Z19 is an extremely agile fixture. It's 16-bit fine pan and tilt movement allows for both precise positioning and smooth movement at slow speeds, while its nimble design means that extremely fast moving patterns can also be achieved.

The fixture offers both three-pin and five-pin data input and output connections, allowing for easy integration into any existing DMX control system. It also features twist lock power input and output sockets, which allow the power supply for multiple units to be daisy-chained together. On the front of the unit's base is a large OLED display screen together with four corresponding control buttons. This interface allows easy and intuitive DMX addressing and mode selection, while the screen displays useful operating information including current running temperature and DMX address.

With measurements of just 12.1" x 7.7" x 15.5" / 306.6mm × 195mm × 393.3mm (LxWxH) and a weight of 19lbs / 8.6kg, the Vizi Wash Z19 is easy to rig, carry and transport, while also ideal for venues with limited ceiling clearance. It is fitted with large rubber feet, which allow it to stand directly on a stage or riser, and is also supplied with two Omega brackets to allow secure rigging.

"The Vizi Series of moving heads is trusted by lighting professionals all over the world for a wide variety of applications ranging from permanent installations in churches, theatres, and nightclubs to rental companies providing equipment for festivals and concerts," comments ADJ USA's national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "Each fixture in the line-up delivers a carefully specified collection of features, designed to meet the needs of lighting designers and installers, while all offer excellent reliability and value for money. The Vizi Wash Z19 is a natural extension to this range, it is an extremely powerful and incredibly compact wash fixture with an impressive zoom range along with a host of other versatile features. I'm sure it is going to prove immensely popular for fixed installations as well as concert tours and one-off event production."
