Legend Theatrical Joins Prolyte Group as a Rental Partner

Prolyte Group, manufacturer of hardware products and structural solutions for the event and entertainment industry, announces a rental partnership with Legend Theatrical of Scotts Valley, California. Legend Theatrical offers a complete array of technical services to the entertainment industry and is a frontrunner on providing new and innovative products to its clients, the company says.

Dave Dunning, CEO of Legend Theatrical, first encountered Prolyte's Verto truss at the LDI Conference in 2016. "After meeting with Prolyte, I kept thinking about how Verto truss could improve our labor efficiency," Dunning says. "At the time, we were working on a couple of projects with short load in times. I realized we could cut a massive amount of time if we had Verto truss in stock. In fact, it could have changed the entire event setup. It was at this moment that I decided it was time to add Verto truss to our inventory." Legend Theatrical now carries the largest rental inventory of Verto truss on the West Coast.

As a distributor, AC Lighting and Legend Theatrical have enjoyed a long business relationship and through that relationship, Legend Theatrical was introduced to the Prolyte Group. "Dave and I spent about three months discussing this purchase and what AC Lighting could do to help facilitate the investment into Verto," says PJ Turpin of AC Lighting. "We were finally able to come together on a deal that worked well for Legend, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Legend Theatrical is a great company to help carry Verto truss for Central, Northern, and the Bay area in California."

At Legend Theatrical, there was some initial skepticism amongst the crew on just how much the Veto truss would improve the processes. After the first event, the team came back impressed and excited at how quick and easy the truss was to use and how much time was saved during the setup and strike of the event.

Dunning explains that from a production company and rental standpoint, time and efficiency is critical, particularly on a smaller event, to maximize profit. By utilizing Prolyte products, margins are improved because fewer crew members are needed, and assembly time is quicker. In addition to the financial benefits, Dunning was impressed with the reduced noise and physical fatigue that workers experienced with Prolyte products.

"Communication is key and much easier when working with the Verto truss, there's virtually no noise fatigue. You're also not subjecting workers to the bodily wear and tear from dealing with bolted truss. With Prolyte, there are no tools. All you need is your hands. It's just simple!"
