SHAPESHIFTER Augments Major Tours

High End Systems' new SHAPESHIFTER automated luminaire was introduced at the recent Prolight + Sound trade show in Germany, and the company shipped the first C1 and W1 units to customers throughout May. ShapeShifter is now being employed on major US tours, and is becoming an integral tool for lighting production companies throughout the world. HES sales manager Craig Burross commented, "After one month of shipping our ShapeShifter C1 and W1 fixtures, the buzz has been incredible! Watching cutting-edge lighting designers utilize the product is truly inspiring, and more lighting designers are embracing these products each and every week. Burross adds that the ShapeShifter can currently be seen on tour in North America with The Dave Matthews Band (lighting designer Fenton Williams, equipment supplied by TMS), Neon Trees (lighting designer Matt Guminski, equipment supplied by Digital Sound Systems) and Guns N' Roses (lighting designer Greg Shipley, equipment supplied by DPS).

A "Richard Belliveau Concept," ShapeShifter is an LED wash moving head featuring 126 LED's, arrayed into seven independently controlled modules housed in one moving fixture with a beam angle of 10-degrees. Each independent module is capable of 36-degrees of X/Y movement, and the fixture features ultra fast pan and tilt. For quick programming, ShapeShifter offers more than 140 module macros with speed and crossfade controls, along with total control of every parameter. ShapeShifter also includes High End's indigo LEDs that create a glowing effect, to add depth to the fixture and to help highlight movement.
