Wybron to Debut New Cygnus Incite at PLASA

The Cygnus Incite LED profile from Wybron will premiere at this year's PLASA, September 11-14, Earls Court, London. Following a sneak preview at ABTT, the launch will feature hands-on demonstrations of this new lighting instrument at TMB's stand 1-B12. Also featured will be the complete range of Wybron Cygnus LED Wash fixtures, both RGBW "theatrical" and all-white "film and TV" fixtures.

Wybron Cygnus will also participate in the STLD LED Shootout at stand 1F-60, represented by Cygnus Studio Series medium and narrow flood fixtures. The Shootout provides an opportunity for objective comparison of fixtures from various manufacturers in a hands-on "studio" setting, every day throughout the show.

The company says Cygnus Studio Series all-white wash fixtures are incredibly bright and feature variable color temperatures of 2,800K-6,000K, using a combination of cool and warm white CREE LEDs. They are designed for flicker-free film and video (even with shutter speeds as high as 1/6,000 of a second), the 100W and 200W Studio models features a new grip panel function allowing the user to change color temperature and intensity right at the unit. Daisy-chained Cygnus Studio units will automatically follow the same settings, and grip mode settings return when the fixtures are repowered for the next use.

All Cygnus models feature a quiet, advanced thermal management system ensuring optimal output and consistent color for many years, the company says, adding that proprietary in-lens color-mixing technology gives smooth, virtually rainbow-free shadows. Advanced electronics provide step-free dimming over the longest fades. All Cygnus fixtures are fully RDM-capable.
