MUSIC Group Announces Service and Support Program

MUSIC Group has announced a "massive" upgrade to its limited warranty program covering Behringer and Bugera products. Effective January 1, 2012, customers can extend the limited warranty to a full three years for products sold in countries served by Music Group operated service centers by registering their purchase on-line (www.music-group.com/warranty).

Company CEO and founder Uli Behringer states, "We have worked hard to create a quality system that is second to none in the industry. Our products are designed to offer years of great customer experience because we focus on the right design and the right materials, plus first-class manufacturing and quality assurance. These efforts are clearly paying off as retailers consistently report return rates of Behringer products are among the lowest of any brand. The data tells the story: we now rank among the very best in the industry and what better way to underscore that achievement than to offer our customers three years of warranty protection."

Music Group says it has experienced explosive growth recently. A $20 million (US) investment in manufacturing automation last year alone, coupled with an increased engineering team exceeding 250 people, have reportedly allowed the company's brands to accelerate the development of new products while dramatically increasing quality and reliability.

"Our commitment to quality is absolutely centered on design, manufacturing and quality assurance," states Behringer. "That's why we stress every component to the limit before it is qualified for use in manufacturing. Most importantly, we control the manufacturing process and build every product ourselves, ensuring that each unit is tested repeatedly before it leaves the factory."

The Music Group employs extensive ISO recognized quality management and test systems, including high-voltage tests, salt-water corrosion test, humidity chambers, drop tests, optical inspection scanners, x-ray inspection and accelerated component life-cycle tests. The company maintains a comprehensive agency safety laboratory and radiated electro-magnetic emissions chamber complete with the requisite measurement instruments. Even though safety testing is not mandated in several jurisdictions, including the United States, the Music Group voluntarily tests and certifies all applicable products to UL and other international standards.

"We are very proud of our quality achievements and I would like to thank all our employees for their immense contribution as well as our customers for their valuable support and feedback," says Behringer. "At the Music Group, we believe that the passion for quality is something you cannot outsource."
