Main Light Acquires Claypaky Mythos2 for Rental Inventory

Claypaky Mythos

Main Light Industries, Inc., one of the largest equipment rental houses in the US, has taken delivery of a compliment of Claypaky Mythos2 luminaires. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, the company provides lighting, special effects, and video equipment to professional production companies worldwide.

Main Light has an extensive inventory of Claypaky lighting featuring A.leda B-EYE K20s, Alpha Beam 1500s, Alpha Profile 700 STs and 800 STs, Alpha Spot HPE 1500s, and QWO 800s, Sharpys, Sharpy Washes, and Stormy Strobes. "Mythos2 fills the gap between Sharpy and the Profile units," notes Main Light operations manager Randy Mullican.

"Mythos2 has the feature set that customers are asking for, including a wide zoom range, intensity, and nice color mixing," he says. "And it's such a versatile light serving as everything from a spot and an effects light to a profile."

Main Light acquired the Mythos2 fixtures from A.C.T Lighting, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Claypaky lighting fixtures in North America.

Mythos2 features a new and reliable Osram Sirius HRI 440W lamp, which ensures the extraordinary performances that have made the success of Mythos worldwide. It features also a new super-smooth dimming upgrade, which makes the Mythos2 suitable for the most demanding applications.

Mullican reports that since arriving at Main Light several weeks ago the Mythos2 fixtures have already been rented for local productions and concert bookings.
