Josh Allen Announces WHOCO Lighting & Controls, Inc.Industry veteran, lighting designer, and theatre consultant, Josh Allen, has purchased the W.H. Onley Co. rep agency, formerly owned by the late Bill Onley. The new entity will operate under the name WHOCO Lighting & Controls, Inc. For nearly a decade, Allen has been a principal consultant with Theatre Consultants Collaborative (TCC), where he has consulted architects and engineers in the United States and Canada on the design of performing arts venues and other public assembly spaces. Most recently, he co-founded 3LR Design, a firm that works primarily in themed environment and architectural lighting and systems design, internationally. A lighting design member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, past-member of The American Society of Theatre Consultants, Allen has won numerous awards for his work. Prior to joining TCC, Allen worked with the W.H. Onley Co. as a lighting and controls specialist. In his new role as WHOCO's owner, Allen will oversee day-to-day operations, representing lighting and controls manufacturers in the territory consisting of North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Island of Bermuda. The WHOCO line card includes premium lines such as ETC, ETC Rigging, The Light Source, RLED, TMB, Gantom, SGM, Canto USA, DeSisti, Coemar, Benjamin Electric, and Candle & Switch.
