PLASA Focus: Austin 2012 and PLASA Focus: Tech -Websites Launched as Exhibitor Numbers Grow

PLASA Focus: Austin 2012 is now online , offering pre-registration email update sign-ups for visitors and application information and materials for exhibitors.

The two-day event, to be held February 22-23, 2012 at the Renaissance Austin, Texas, continues to attract a growing list of high-profile exhibitors, who see the event as a unique opportunity to reach a regional market of customers and network with fellow exhibitors.

Confirmed exhibitors include GLP German Lighting Products, Daktronics Rigging, Clay Paky, Total Structures, High End Systems, Chauvet, Philips Color Kinetics, A.C.T Lighting, Doug Fleenor Design, Strong Entertainment Lighting, and Secoa, with many more expected to follow.

In addition, PLASA Focus: Tech -- a recently announced audio, video, and lighting workshop and concert -- will be held in tandem with PLASA Focus: Austin 2012. The four-day workshop brings together industry experts Richard Cadena, Brad Schiller, Chad Yeary of Portal Designs, and Damon Lang of Nomad Sound for a unique hands-on learning program, including a lighting focus on design, visualization, and programming, a video focus on video content design media server programming, and an audio focus on audio system design live mixing. Each attendee will design and operate a portion of a live concert before an audience on the final night. The concert, featuring Devon Allman and Honeytribe, will be free to registered PLASA Focus visitors and exhibitors. As an added bonus, a competition will be held for best design, with the winner receiving a one-year WYSIWYG license worth $1,150, donated by Cast Software. Visit www.plasafocus.com/tech for more information.

PLASA Focus: Austin 2012 -- modeled after the highly successful PLASA Focus: Leeds (UK), which recently broke previous attendance records in its third year -- will bring together members of the entertainment technology community to do business and network in a relaxed and friendly setting.

The two-day show will be reasonably priced for exhibitors and free to registered visitors. A unique inclusive hard-wall booth package -- including furniture, power and lighting -- will level the playing field and give exhibitors a simple and affordable exhibiting experience. The show's regional focus will also allow exhibitors to reach visitors who might not attend larger industry events. Likewise, visitors will have an opportunity to experience and interact firsthand with industry-leading equipment and services without having to travel far from home.

PLASA members receive substantially reduced pricing on exhibit space.
