Green Hippo Makes First Appearance at WFX

On November 9 and 10, Green Hippo Hippotizers and staff were in attendance at this year's Worship Facilities Expo at the Dallas Convention Centre in Texas.

The event helps companies to understand how technology is used within a house of worship environment and what set of functions is expected by churches, while giving these the opportunity to get up to speed with the latest developments. This exchange is supported by a range of seminars, talks and hands-on training sessions throughout the exhibition.

For Green Hippo's Samantha Bailey and Tom Etra this was a new experience: "Our move into this sector is still at the early stages but we are very committed. TMB, our distributor for the Americas, has already made good progress into this market; a couple of churches in the US have recently purchased Hippotizer media servers. WFX was a great opportunity for us to get a better idea about the kind of features expected in churches as well as allowing us to introduce our products to a much wider audience."

Hippotizer media servers could be seen in action at a couple of stands throughout the exhibition:

Barbizon Lighting Company used the server's UberPan component to control three HD monitors, a Martin Pro LED wall, and an RGB Lights LED wall over Kinet in its demo room. Ford Audio-Visual had the server controlling six projectors in an UberPan projection mapping set-up on its booth.

Green Hippo has been working on specialized house of worship Hippotizer features for some time: these include the product's text engine, baby number feature and a new "cross-livemask" The company also offers three DVDs with 50 clips each of worship-specific content.

Bailey, Green Hippo sales manager, comments, "After visiting WFX we were able to strengthen the direction we are taking into the worship market and with this we are confident that more churches will discover the advantages of Hippotizer in the future."
