With less than one week to go until PLASA Focus: Austin 2012 opens its doors for the first time, over 50 companies are preparing to debut new audio, lighting, video, stage, and rigging technology at The Renaissance Austin, February 22-23, 2012.

Joining the list of exhibitors displaying new products is Martin Professional, staging the world premier launch of the new MAC III AirFX moving head, along with two new lighting controllers in the M-series, the M2GO, and M2PC. Wireless Solution Sweden AB will show the latest products in its W-DMX G4 range, including the ProBox F-2500 G4, the BlackBox G4 MK2, and the BlueBox RDM Controller. City Theatrical will be demonstrating SHoW DMX Neo and SHoW DMX SHoW Baby, the wireless DMX innovations used on the U2 360 Degree Tour. Robe Lighting, Inc. will showcase several new products from its ROBIN series, including the Robin 1200, 600, and 300 LEDWashes and the all new Robin MMX Spot. While Creative Stage Lighting will announce products from partners including JB-lighting, Avolites, and Kinesys.

Amongst others, d&b audiotechnik will show new audio products, including the compact E-Series, the E4 loudspeaker and the T10, a loudspeaker that encompasses both line array and point source technologies in one package. Jason Waggoner from the education and application support team will also present Demystifying Audio, using demonstrations and experiments to guide his audience through the principles of acoustics, from the loudspeaker to the listener's ears.

Also taking place in the immensely popular Professional Development Program -- the two-day program of free seminars and events running alongside the exhibition -- are two new sessions, LEDs and Lies -- Why the Answer Is and Isn't Always LEDs -- presented by Tony Hansen and Mike Wood, and Concert LD to Architectural LD: A Career Change - presented by Stefan Graf and Charles Thompson. Both sessions can be booked online now.

With over 900 of the region's top professionals registered to attend, PLASA Focus Austin 2012 looks set to be a landmark event. Check out the online show guide for an exhibitor guide, floor plan, and everything else you'll need to plan your trip.
