Visual Productions launches IOCore at Prolight+Sound 2012

Visual Productions will introduce the IOCore at Prolight+Sound, March 21-21 in Frankfurt. The IOCore is an expansion module in the CueCore product family of solid-state lighting controllers. It offers interfacing to digital and analog inputs and digital outputs and supports various protocols like DMX, RS-232, OSC, UDP, and Art-Net.

The IOCore features eight inputs that can be individually configured as digital or analog input. Set as digital input, the company says the IOCore allows for an easy connection with physical switches and sensors. When set to analog, it supports 0-10V and 1-10V inputs; ideal for connecting to household dimmers the company says.

The eight outputs on the IOCore are relay-switched and can handle 3A. The digital outputs can be used to switch various other equipment like A/V devices, blinds, or heavy-duty relays.

Additionally, the IOCore is fitted with a DMX-512 port that can be configured as input or output, and a bi-directional RS-232 port. Through its network port, the IOCore also supports OSC, UDP, and Art-Net protocols that can be used for triggering and conversion.

IOCore is suited for stand-alone IO interfacing or working together with any third-party show control system.

Located in Hall 11.0 Stand A69, Visual Productions will also be showing the latest versions of Cuelux and the CueCore, solid-state controller. The CueCore has seen success in its first year, the company says. New features have been added to the CueCore including a useful back-up function which allows users to save the contents of the CueCore into an XML file.
