American Music and Sound Presents an Evening with Ray Kurzweil with Special Music Guests 'Shel' at NAMM

American Music and Sound in association with Kurzweil will present an evening with inventor, futurist, author and founder of Kurzweil Music Systems, Ray Kurzweil.

Inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Kurzweil has received 19 honorary doctorates, and honors from three US presidents. Kurzweil has been described as a "restless genius" by The Wall Street Journal and "the ultimate thinking machine" by Forbes. PBS included Kurzweil as one of 16 "revolutionaries who made America" along with other inventors of the past two centuries. Inc. magazine ranked him #8 among the "most fascinating" entrepreneurs in the United States and called him "Edison's rightful heir."

Joining Kurzweil will be special musical guests, Shel. A vocal group with outstanding instrumental capabilities and a thrilling vocal attack; these four sisters have been wowing audiences on PBS and at music festivals such as: South by Southwest, Nashville's Music City Roots, Lilith Fair, and numerous others. From their fetching, unpredictable songs to their whimsical, hand-made top hats, Shel makes a profound impression, something they are doing to growing crowds and critical acclaim.

The event takes place Friday, January 24 at 6:30pm in the Kurzweil Hilton Lanai Suite. This is an invitation only event; complimentary food and beverages will be served.
