Harman Professional Adds Anton Pukshansky and Jim Ure

Harman Professional has made two new appointments.

Anton Pukshansky was named to the position of territory sales manager for Southern California and Southern Nevada with responsibility for Harman Professional's sales operations in that region. Based at Harman Professional headquarters in Northridge, California, the veteran professional audio sales executive will work closely with Harman Professional's manufacturer's reps and dealers and will report directly to Mark Posgay, senior director, US Sales, Harman Professional.

"Anton Pukshansky is an advocate for our customers, an advocate for our technologies and, above all, an advocate for excellent sound," Posgay said. "I am very pleased that he has elected to join our team and am deeply confident that he will make a valuable contribution to our customers, channel partners, and our reps in addition to driving strong growth for Harman Professional in Southern California and Southern Nevada."

Pukshansky is a multi-Grammy award winning producer, engineer, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He joins Harman Professional having been a director at MW Audio where he led sales and operations for a successful sales, design, and installation organization. Prior to MW Audio, Pukshansky was district sales manager for Loud Technologies. He attended the Leningrad Conservatory of music as a piano major from the age of six, and was a pre-med major at Boston University.

Commenting on his new role, Pukshansky said, "I have always had the deepest appreciation for high-performing, innovative audio technologies and now working with such a compelling array of products and such a quality team of people, enables me to play at the top of my game. I look forward to the challenge and the opportunity of working with the factory, the rep team, and my colleagues in the Harman US regional sales office organization."

Harman Professional also announced the appointment of Jim Ure to the position of business development manager, installed sound. In making the appointment, Posgay noted Ure's deep experience in systems design and dealer support.

"Jim Ure knows how systems work and how the channel works so he's uniquely qualified to provide our rep firms, dealers, and consultant partners with depth and valuable support," Posgay said. "Jim's experience will be a winning asset to these constituent groups but also to me and his other colleagues in the US regional sales office (RSO) organization."

Ure joins the Harman US RSO team from having led product management teams at Harman's BSS Audio and dbx product groups. He previously served as a manufacturer's representative for Sigmet Corporation where he worked closely with customers and dealers on various Harman Professional accounts. Jim Ure is a graduate of The Recording Workshop from where he was conferred a certificate in audio engineering.

Taking on his new responsibilities, Ure said, "I am very pleased to take on this new role. As our business has evolved from components to systems to application-engineered fixed install systems for specific industries and venues, I believe that Harman brings our customer's unparalleled integration, functionality, and support! I look forward to joining my colleagues in the US RSO organization to support the industry shift to advanced systems."
