American Audio to Unveil New Active Speaker and Amplifier Series at NAMM 2013American Audio will introduce the new ELS15A professional two-way, active bi-amplified speaker system, and a brand-new series of class A/B amplifiers, the ELX Series at the Winter 2013 NAMM, held in Anaheim, California, January 24-27, in booth 6330. ELS15A speaker system -- A 15" professional two-way, active bi-amplified speaker system, the ELS15A features a low frequency driver and titanium high frequency compression driver that the company says provides clarity, as well as high power handling capability and efficiency. The unit includes a high-efficiency switch mode power supply with a class A/B low frequency power amplifier and a class A/B high frequency amplifier. Other features include: an active signal limiting system with LED indicator on the rear panel; treble, bass, and volume output control; a microphone input (XLR and 1/4" stereo) with separate mic volume control; time aligned electronic crossover; XLR and RCA line inputs; and XLR through output. Additionally, the ELS15A is equipped with a full protection system, including: DC, overload, short circuit, thermal, on/off mute, and LF/HF limiters. The case made of rugged injection-molded polypropylene, making it durable and road-worthy, while still lightweight and easy to handle. The ELS15A is both flyable and stand mountable for versatility of use. ELX amplifier series -- Consisting of three models -- ELX2000, ELX3000, and ELX4000 -- American Audio's newest amp line ranges from 180W to 800W. The company says these Class A/B amps were designed with the features and conveniences that today's pro audio customers demand, including: front panel volume knobs and LED meters; XLR-1/4" inputs; and Speakon and binding post outputs. Fan-cooled, the ELX amps take up two rack spaces.
