Show Distribution Group Appoints Jean Lariviere as VP Sales Development

Quebec-based rigging and staging automation company Show Distribution Group has appointed Jean Lariviere as vice president of sales development.

Lariviere most recently was regional sales manager at High End Systems, part of the Barco group, where he handled sales for Canada and select US accounts. Before that, he was chief technology officer with worldwide equipment brokers SHS Global, responsible for sourcing product and also handling client technical services. Lariviere established many of his global relationships within the industry during his earlier years at High End Systems, where he worked as a Studio Color product support specialist from 1994-98.

Lariviere will work to develop new sales opportunities and increase channels for growth for Show Distribution from his base in Austin, Texas.

Tanguay started Show Distribution in 1999 to specialize in providing safe staging automation and rigging products for North America. The 2,000-sq.-m. (21,527-sq.-ft.) facility in Quebec offers space for its service department and a greater storage capacity to meet increasing demand. The company also has an office in Las Vegas, a warehouse in Los Angeles, and works through a reseller network throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.
