Creative Conners Introduces New Pro-Line Controls and Machines

Creative Conners, Inc. announces the release of a new line of products specifically designed to meet the automation challenges of the most demanding productions. The new lineup includes the Stagehand Pro AC motor controller, the completely redesigned Showstopper 3 cue control system, and the Spotline hoist, for safe and easy vertical lifting.

Development on the Stagehand Pro first began when the company needed redundant brake control for their Spotline hoist. Gareth Conner, president, saw it as an opportunity to implement many of the features that his customers have asked for over the years. "Our products have traditionally been designed and priced to meet the demands of customers with limited budgets, which prohibited us from adding in some of these very cool new features," explains Conner, "But as our customer base has grown and we've added more commercial clients, we now have an opportunity to take our Stagehand motor control to the next level while still serving our original market."

The Stagehand Pro improvements started at the circuit board level, with a redesigned motion controller, new firmware, better reporting, and expanded inputs and outputs. The Pro is Creative Conners' first Stagehand with built-in redundant brake control for vertical lifting situations. Industrial clamping connectors, streamlined cabling and optional rack-mounting brings the Creative Conners brand of modular automation to touring productions, corporate events, and large performances.

Creative Conners' Showstopper system, combining emergency stop and cue control functionality, has also been completely redesigned. Redundant self-monitoring emergency stop circuits create an industry-leading combination of robust reliability and ease-of-use. Traditionally combined in a single console, the Showstopper 3 system separates the emergency stop components from cue control for increased modularity and expanded capabilities.

Working in concert with the Stagehand Pro, the company says the Spotline hoist combines a production-ready and versatile machine designed for vertical lifting with the integrated and intuitive safety features users have come to expect from Creative Conners. Dual brakes, engineered load-rating, and a show-ready speed of 36"/sec make Spotline a choice for safe and easy lifting.
