DPA Microphones Announces House of Worship Tour

With the fast pace changes in technology and demands of live sound events, it's easy to lose sight of the message and meaning behind a worship service. DPA Microphones strives to provide the best solutions that help audio professionals deliver clear, concise, and inspirational performances for audiences worldwide. On October 9 at National Community Church in Washington, DC plasa.me/5ndep and October 23 at Queen City Church in Charlotte, North Carolina plasa.me/kn4dk, the DPA team will share their insights and experience on how to get the best sound in any sanctuary or worship environment during its house of worship tour.

"DPA is an ideal solution for miking worship leaders, speakers, singers, and instrumentalists as well as live streaming or broadcasting sermons," says Christopher Spahr, VP of sales and marketing, DPA Microphones, Inc. "The first leg of the tour allows us to travel to regional churches to educate HOW professionals about our solutions and how our mics can help worship services deliver the best sound for any meaningful message."

During the events, attendees will learn the best practices on miking drums, vocals, and more as well as the top techniques to solve any microphone challenge. Also, the entire line of DPA microphones, including the brand new subminiature line of d:screet and d:fine lavalier and headset microphones will be on display.

The first stop is on October 9 from 4:00 - 7:00pm (EDT) in Washington, DC at National Community Church. Special guest engineers Kent Margraves, Chris McMillan, and Kevin Sanchez will be on hand to share their insight and knowledge with over 60 years of industry experience combined. Margraves has been an audio director at two mega churches and toured as a concert front-of-house mixer. He continues to mix for several worship artists, including Elevation Church. Chris McMillan recently finished a four-year run handling live production and mixing for his brother John Mark McMillan. Sanchez is an experienced freelance audio engineer, sound designer, and technician, who has worked with artist and worship leader Lindy Conant as well as worship band Housefires.

DPA will then head to Queen City Church in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 23 from 1:00 - 4:00pm (EDT). Audio engineers Chris McMillan, Daniel Rivera and Jarred Venter will be speaking at this event. Rivera works at Meyer Sound with the sales and business development teams, overseeing the house of worship market. Venter started out as a volunteer with Hillsong Church South Africa and then went on to work for award-winning Christian artist Kari Jobe, as her front-of-house engineer and production manager. Venter has also worked with other top Christian artists, such as Lauren Daigle and For King & Country.
