Electrosonic Wins Best Museum Project of the Year at the 2019 Commercial Integrator Integration Awards

Electrosonic has been honored with a 2019 Commercial Integrator Integration Award in the Best Museum Project category. The awards, made up of 13 categories by Commercial Integrator magazine, honor stand out, problem-solving installations that address commercial customers' needs. Winners were announced at InfoComm 2019.

Electrosonic was cited for its work on the Sheikh Abdullah al Salem Cultural Centre (SAASCC), the largest museum project in the world. The 22,000 m. sq. venue in Kuwait houses four innovative museums devoted to Natural History, Science, Space, and Arabic Islamic Science. They feature more than 800 exhibits and interactives across 23 dynamic galleries.

Electrosonic designed all the AV exhibits in the four museums and was one of the AV integrators delivering AV hardware, fit out and integration for blocks dedicated to Transport and Innovation, the Human Body and Mind, and Arabic Islamic Science.

Electrosonic installed more than 250 exhibits, including a spherical dark ride theater with 6m immersive screen and 4D full-motion seating, which takes guests through the human body.

"Electrosonic is extremely pleased to be recognized for our work on the SAASCC," says Jon Hancock, CEO of the Electrosonic Group Ltd. "This large-scale project required us to be flexible and responsive with our on-site engineering team, who worked in desert temperatures of up to 50-degrees Celsius. We also optimized engineering to achieve consistent results throughout the project milestones and applied LEAN methods and automation to simplify commissioning and conserve resources."

Electrosonic's Middle East office in Dubai continues to provide local support for the museum's in-house technical support teams.
