LMG Adds Live Console to Audio Lineup

Solid State Logic's Live console

LMG, a national provider of video, audio, and lighting support, recently added the Solid State Logic (SSL) Live console to the firm's extensive audio inventory.

The SSL Live console, the first live sound console produced by Solid State Logic, is designed for live event and touring environments, and offers superb sound quality, unique user controls and features, and maximizes power and connectivity. Solid State Logic, a manufacturer of consoles for music, broadcast, and post for over 35 years, was acquired in 2005 by musician and technologist, Peter Gabriel. The first set of Live consoles produced by SSL were immediately put to use on Gabriel's world tour in 2013.

The SSL Live features 192 scalable I/O paths, at 96kHz/24-bit flexible routing, powerful automation and onboard effects, and is based on SSL's new Tempest processing platform, built into the console, with 64-bit internal processing. The control surface showcases a high resolution, 19" central touch screen that acts as the hub of the console with tablet style multi-touch gesture control, giving visual feedback and access to system configuration menus and the effects rack.

"The SSL Live console features an innovative user interface and overall design, and offers superior sound quality, as you would expect from a company owned by a musician," says Shane Smith, director of audio services at LMG. "We are very excited to be able to support our show and touring clients with this next generation of digital audio console on the market."
