Operations OS Makes NW Network Available on the Internet for Event-Production Workers and Companies

UK-based Operations OS, the maker of scheduling software, now makes NW Network available on the Internet for workers and companies coordinating project-based work. The service is available to US workers and companies as well as UK users. It brings a worker's personal account together with company tools for availability, work agreements, schedules and reviewed hours. Event-production businesses and the people supporting live shows, trade shows and corporate events are the target customers.

Workers can use a free personal account across authorized workplaces. They choose whether to share a profile or resume, and companies cannot browse private worker profiles. Workers can discover job and shift-cover opportunities by role and chosen area when companies publish them. Those opportunities depend on company participation; NW Network does not guarantee work.

Companies can use paid subscriptions to coordinate availability, agree on work, schedule people, and review time sheets, subject to their plan and permissions. USD billing is available for US companies. Operations OS provides software; it does not transfer wages or process payroll.

The product grew from founder Matthew Hawkins's experience during a management handover, when operational information was scattered across systems and messages. Hawkins is also managing director of Powerhouse Production Services, an event-production business. His operating experience informs the focus on the handoffs between finding people, agreeing an engagement, scheduling it, and reviewing completed work.

NW Network is live on the web now. Native iPhone and Android apps target October 15, subject to store approval.
