Out Board's TiMax at USITT Soundlab

TiMax SoundHub and Tracker UWB performer tracking system

For the USITT 2014 Stage Expo and SoundLab, 1602Group TiMax will provide visitors with hands-on demo and workshop access to Out Board's TiMax2 SoundHub system matrix, sound-effects playback server, and audio showcontroller. Alongside the TiMax Tracker UWB performer tracking system, visitors will experience real-time delay-matrixed localization of presenters' radio-mics or effects as they move around a defined performance area.

Also demonstrated will be the powerful TiMax2 SoundHub S-Version sound effects editing, playback and immersive surround panning functions, including the spatially-aware PanSpace effects map which integrates with the TimeLine Editor for intuitive graphical pan programming and editing. The Soundlab workshops will be conducted in conjunction with Alcons Audio loudspeaker systems, featuring the company's exclusive pro-ribbon driver technology.

TiMax SoundHub is a multichannel audio showcontrol system matrix and playback server for theatre and opera sound, live events, AV installations, nightclubs, attractions and museums plus corporate, retail and themed environments. It comprises a scaleable matrix mix engine from 16- to 64-channels in/out with up to 64-tracks of random access audio playback in a single 2U chassis.

The TiMax SoundHub's powerful feature-set includes linkable and storable input and output parametric EQ, assignable zone level control groups, plus the TiMax speciality of dynamic delay-matrixing to allow precise realtime audio localization for performers, presenters, exhibits, signage and attractions, as well as 3D surround sound for effects and music.

Simple auto-config plug 'n play networking allows control from multiple PC and Mac clients or touch-panels such as Crestron, AMX, or Out Board's new iPad MinServer bespoke app system. Optional modules provide compatibility with industry-standard audio networking such as MADI, Cobranet, and Dante.
