ADJ's Introduces its Illusion Dotz 4.4

ADJ's Illusion Dotz 4.4 is a wash fixture which utilizes a powerful COB LED 4x4 matrix mounted on a moving head yoke.

The fixture is Capable of both wash effects and beam effects (thanks to a 15° beam angle), alongside its use as a pixel-mappable effects matrix. With 360°/540° pan and 270° tilt, the whole unit moves around, enabling users to create an even more attention-grabbing lightshow by sending the beams spinning and sweeping across dance-floors and stages.

This movement also allows the fixture to be used creatively by lighting designers, as a wash effect--to light a band or stage performance--or as an audience-facing effect delivering color washes, strobes, or animated patterns. Lighting designers can then save and edit scenes in the unit's on-board memory, allowing favorite scenes to be used time and time again without having to re-program.

The fixture's Art-Net/Klingnet compatibility, allows the user to project low-resolution video content across the COB LEDs, via RJ45 connections on the rear, using control solutions such as ArKaos Media, Master Express, and Media Master Pro. Projecting video content across the matrix of the Illusion Dotz 4.4 can result in experimental and distinctive visual effects, the company says, creating backdrops for events, stage productions, and musical performances--even club DJs looking to add a unique element to their stage set up.

Those not wishing to use Klingnet/Art-Net can still use the Illusion Dotz 4.4, with three operational modes--DMX, Stand Alone, and Sound Active-- offering a range of control options. With a choice of three channel modes--12, 14, and 59--DMX-controlled mode lets users engage in more in-depth control, for an alternative to video mapping. The Illusion Dotz 4.4 is also RDMX compatible, meaning users can set DMX values remotely. Alternatively, for the simple use of pre-programmed effects across multiple fixtures, users can run multiple units in Master/Slave configuration while in Sound Active or Auto Run mode.

"The Illusion Dotz 4.4's combination of movement and powerful COB technology make it the ultimate wash fixture," says Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ USA. "Not only that, but with its pixel-mapping capabilities, users can really get creative with their lighting design; programming animated patterns, and utilizing the Illusion Dotz 4.4's tri-color LEDs and strobe effects."
