Theatre Projects announces their Los Angeles office is now TheatreDNA

Theatre Projects announces the spinoff of their Los Angeles office into a new company, TheatreDNA.

"In the four years since we opened our Los Angeles office, there have been significant changes in the design and construction market. We never like to stay static as things change around us, so we've made a strategic decision that our Los Angeles office should evolve into something different, while remaining part of the Theatre Projects family," explains Chad Morrison, business director for Theatre Projects Consultants' US operations.

Long-time Theatre Projects principals Michael Ferguson and Benton Delinger will transition from their roles at Theatre Projects to lead TheatreDNA along with Fred Vogler, founder of Sonitus, a Los Angeles-based AV design firm that will be merging with TheatreDNA.

"I'm thrilled to join forces with Michael and Benton," says Vogler. "We've worked together on projects for many years, but now we share a common goal -- raising the bar for performance technology in creative spaces of all types, always ahead of an ever-evolving art form. And, we're fortunate to be based in Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world," he adds, "where we are constantly challenged by and exposed to trends and practices in modern performance production."

"We're excited to remain a part of the Theatre Projects family, while developing a new brand. We'll continue to carry on the amazing six-decade legacy of Theatre Projects and Richard Pilbrow, continuing their commitment to intimacy and audience connection in performance space design and innovative theatre equipment system design. We're looking forward to using our TheatreDNA in new and exciting ways!" says Ferguson.

Delinger adds: "As we have grown to work on projects around the world, our commitment to building creative spaces for artists has become even more important. Building their home requires an understanding of not only how a facility goes together, but why are we building it and how can we use our collective experience in live performance to make it better. For us, understanding the art of performance is critical."

"We're excited to have a trusted partner in Los Angeles as we pursue work in a global market. Theatre Projects is always looking for new and innovative ways to respond to the changing market. And TheatreDNA is one of those steps." says Morrison.
