ADJ Launches the 5P Hex and Ultra Hex Bar 6ADJ's latest hex-LED par fixtures -- the 5P Hex Par and the Ultra Hex Bar 6 Linear fixture -- offer true flexibility with six-in-one LEDs and innovative "lie flat >> designs. The 5P Hex is a versatile LED PAR fixture that utilizes a powerful source consisting of five 10W hex-LEDs (RGBWA+UV). This range of color options awards users with the ability to create distinct, customized colors, no matter what event or client they're working for. With 63 built-in color macros and smooth color mixing afforded by the hex-LEDs, users can really get creative with their color to achieve a professional and wholly-unique lighting setup. With a 30-degree beam angle and a range of options for positioning, the 5P Hex is ideal for lighting stages, both from above and from the ground, or for lighting dance floors, venues, and other event features, such as marquees. Where traditional stage lighting emitted large amounts of heat -- making an uncomfortable environment for performers, guests, and staff -- the 5P Hex keeps things cool while still generating powerful, far-reaching washes of intense light from its 10W LEDs and 30-degree beam angle. This customizable color lighting can then be used to wash large areas or to uplight venues, where users can tailor the effects of the 5P Hex to whatever event they're working. The UV is perfect for younger audiences, while the white and amber colors will help create an idyllic wedding atmosphere or a peaceful setting for church congregations. Thanks to ADJ's new patent-pending body design, which makes the 5P Hex more robust, the fixture can lie flat, with IEC and DMX in/out sockets being positioned on one side, allowing for a more practical solution when it comes to uplighting walls, marquees, stages and décor. This "lie flat" design also lets the unit be set inside truss for effective truss-warming or behind scrim for cool, sleek glow effects. The 5P Hex's dual yoke means it can also be hung or stood on the floor, allowing users to wash stages, dance-floors or seating areas from above and below. A bright, 23" long linear bar fixture utilizing six 10W hex-LEDs, the Ultra Hex Bar 6 offers even wider washes than the 5P Hex, thanks to its linear layout, 40-degree beam angle, and slightly bigger LED source. Utilizing six of the same hex-LEDs, 63 color macros and smooth color mixing, the fixture is also capable of distinctive color creations, and ideal for lining venue walls, stages, and other flat surfaces where a linear fixture is needed. The 5P Hex also comes in a version with a white case called, 5P Hex Pearl. The white version is great for houses of worship, plus white themed nightclubs and mobile events. Like the 5P Hex, versatile positioning is also an attribute of the Ultra Hex Bar 6. Mounting brackets ensure that users can mount the unit onto walls for vast overhead washes, or set it on the ground for low upward facing wash effects; the effective uplighting of walls, back bars and décor; or for running the length of the ADJ DJ Façade's front panel for a glowing scrim effect. The Ultra Hex Bar 6 utilizes ADJ's patent pending magnetic "quick align" end-locking mechanism that gives users a seamless band of color by connection multiple units together in one chain. For extra awesome results, users can setup both fixtures to work together; great effects can be achieved by washing a stage or venue with the 5P Hex and using the linear UHB6 to uplight walls, performance areas, décor, and other features. When a stage performance, production, or party requires a more intense atmosphere, users can activate the fixtures' UV effect. Alternatively, users can incorporate UV into their customized color choice so that when the main lights are dimmed, or blacked out, UV will enhance their wash lighting or uplighting further. Both the 5P Hex and Ultra Hex Bar 6 also benefit from 0-100% electronic dimming and LED pulse and strobe effects, for the incorporation of party-enhancing effects at any chosen intensity. "Not only are our 5P Hex and Ultra Hex Bar 6 equipped with super-bright 10W LED sources, but these LEDs also allow the smooth color mixing of red, green, blue, white, amber, and UV, resulting in truly diverse UV-infused colors," says Alfred Gonzales, sales manager for ADJ USA. In terms of operation, users can select from five operational modes for the 5P Hex: static color, RGBAW+UV dimmer, program, sound active, and DMX controlled. DMX mode offers four channel-modes -- six, seven, eight, and 12 -- allowing advanced levels of control. With seven built-in programs, users can create varied and eye-catching washes while operating in the simple but effective sound active and program modes. Aside from providing the same choice of static color, RGBAW+UV dimmer, program, sound active, and DMX controlled modes, the Ultra Hex Bar 6 gives users access to auto run mode. An extra DMX channel mode is also provided, with users having access to six-, seven-, eight-, 12-, and 18-channel modes. The Ultra Hex Bar 6 can also be controlled from up to 150' using the ADJ RFC remote, giving users control over blackout, strobing, RGBAW+UV, and program speed, as well as the selection of auto run, sound active, and program modes.
