Philips Selecon PLCyc LED Luminaires are Now Shipping across North and South America

Philips Strand Lighting announces that the Philips Selecon PLCyc LED luminaire is now shipping across North and South America. The PLCyc delivers smooth and even color in a compact, light-weight design, while using only 150W to beautifully illuminate drops up to 16' high.

"We are very excited to be shipping the new PLCyc LED luminaire," said Leonard Miller, Philips Strand Lighting North American sales manager. "As we have been demonstrating the fixture to our designers, dealers, and end users, we have received nothing short of exceptional feedback on its capabilities and performance."

Each PLCyc LED luminaire can replace the equivalent of a traditional four-color, 500W per circuit cyc light, and with the convenient Powercon cabling system, the PLCyc can light a typical cyclorama from a single 20A circuit. For optimum performance, the fixture may be used for either top or bottom lighting while spaced on 4' centers. The PLCyc also has an on-board LCD menu system for easy luminaire setup, control, and addressing; plus all PLCyc luminaires support wireless DMX control for instant connections without running any control wiring.

"This light is indeed a breakthrough for the lighting industry," added Pete Borchetta, Philips Strand Lighting product marketing manager. "By combining infinite color options and high output with low-power requirements, the PLCyc LED luminaire will be an effective tool for lighting designers in any market worldwide."
